Research
VMASC is a secure research facility housing a research staff of over two dozen research faculty, project scientists, support professionals, and students performing advanced research using state-of-the-art technologies. The Suffolk facility, and home base for VMASC, is a secure 60,000 sq. ft. research and conference center.
We digitally transform
technologies into everyday
practice.
The Center began over twenty years ago as a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the Commonwealth of Virginia to create an academic center of innovation in modeling and simulation (M&S) to support joint experimentation and training at the U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) in Suffolk. While computational modeling is a constant in everything VMASC does, the Center’s activities have expanded over the past twenty years.
VMASC’s research staff includes over 70 research faculty, scientists, support professionals, and students that perform scientific research, develop computational models, and create information-to-insight and digital engineering solutions in various research domains.
